Using the TAG Heuer CP705
Stand Alone
A detailed 35 page manual is included
with the CP705 which covers the use of the 705 without a computer attached.
On-Line Timing with Split Second
Software
When connected to a computer the CP705
is used as a time source. The idea is to set the timer up so all the work
is done on the computer. There's more than one way to do this with the
705 but an example would be to set it up as follows:
Modify Date . . . .
Time . . .
Free Memory . . . . always a good
idea to clear the memory
Select Sport . . . . Alpine
Select Run . . . . either, doesn't
matter
Numbering Cntrl . . . . Manual, won't
be doing it anyway
Press the Red buttons to disable blocking
of the inputs!
For a Single Course race:
Input 1 is Start
Input 2 is Finish
For a Dual:
Input 1 is Left Start
Input 2 is Left Finish
Input 3 is Right Start
Input 4 is Right Finish
If you go into the "Timing | Setup
and Test" screen on the Windows software or the "Test Inputs" on the DOS
you should now see times coming in.
